Together For Learning: School Libraries and the Emergence of the Learning Commons
On February 27 at the OLA Super Conference the visionary school library document was launched. All OSLA members will receive their complimentary copy with the next Teaching Librarian (mid-May). OSLA will be shipping a complimentary copy to all schools (drop shipping to the larger school boards) in early spring. The french version will be sent to french and french immersion schools in early May. The .pdf english copy (french will be ready soon!) is freely available on OSLA's web site at:
http://www.accessola.../bins/index.asp
The document was developed by the Ontario School Library Association and includes the stellar efforts of a dedicated writing and advisory team. The team is listed on the first page of Together for Learning. OLA and OSLA wishes to thank the Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat of the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Education for their generous support in the development of this visionary document.
