A message from Diane Bedard - Learn Ontario Chair and eResources portal creator/manager and all round awesome inventor of easy ways to provide access to resources!

Some schools have been asking for a way to anchor/link to just a single eResource for a special project or class.

Attached is "eResources2011-individualized_links.PDF" which provides a brief descriptor of each eResource and provides the appropriate permalink for the French or English version of the Resources PORTAL.

Note that these links isolate each resource on their own page, but maintain the starting place within the portal (not right at the database screen). This is done to ensure the end user gets the appropriate starting URL for the Geo-IP authentication process, as some of the databases only respond to requests originating for the Portal URL.

The attached PDF version can be posted anywhere and shared as widely as desired.

BTW... using any one of the permalink URLs as listed within the Code of the eResources button, would make that button go directly to the selected resource as well. A second attached file "modifyWidget4SingleResource.PDF" explains this in clear steps.
